Do I need TIMS and park permits? Can Udante arrange?
Yes — all trekkers need TIMS + national park/conservation area permits (Sagarmatha, ACAP). We handle all paperwork and include fees where noted; you'll just carry your passport copy. We submit via TAAN & Nepal Tourism Board.
What's the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation >30 days, 50% refund 15-30 days, non-refundable <15 days. Domestic flight disruptions are rescheduled — we hold backup dates.
Do I need travel insurance?
Mandatory for trekking above 3000m. Must cover helicopter evacuation up to 6000m. We check proof before Lukla flight. Partner insurers available.
What currency and payments?
Prices in NPR; we accept USD/EUR via Stripe/PayPal at daily NRB rate. Local clients can pay via eSewa/Khalti/IME Pay. Inquire for bank transfer.
Altitude sickness & safety?
All guides are NMA/TAAN certified with first-aid & oximeter. Itineraries include acclimatization days. We carry Diamox guidance, monitor SpO2, and have heli-evac on standby.
