Locals who know
the trail.
Founded in Kathmandu by IFMGA-track guides, Udante is a licensed Nepali operator — not a reseller. We live here, we guide here, and 1% of every booking goes back to mountain schools & trail clean-ups.
From Thamel to Thapagaun — staying local matters.
We started in 2010 in Thamel with two guides and a commitment: pay porters fairly, keep groups small, and never cut acclimatization days. Today we’re based in Thapagaun, New Baneshwor (M8RM+FF, Bagmati Province) — closer to the airport and trailheads, but still 100% Nepali-owned.
Our Guides
NMA & TAAN certified, Wilderness First Aid, fluent English + Japanese/Chinese. Avg 12 years on trail. Porter welfare: 15kg limit, insurance, fair wages — verified by TAAN.
Licenses & Trust
NTB License 12345 • TAAN • NMA • Keep Nepal Clean • Insurance: Himalayan Rescue Association. Government registered, audited annually.
